10. The Leftovers

The Leftovers is an American supernatural mystery drama television series created by Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta that aired on HBO from June 29, 2014, to June 4, 2017, spanning three seasons and 28 episodes. The film is based on Perrotta’s novel of the same name from 2011.

The series follows the lives of police chief Kevin Garvey and his family, as well as heartbroken widow Nora Durst and her brother, as they struggle to adjust to life after the Departure.

Quite a sight to behold. This series has a weird quality to it. The first season’s structure was nothing short of brilliant, according to the show’s makers. In episode 9, the death of Nora’s family was heartbreaking, but it explained her character’s transformation better than anything you’ve seen in a long time.
